Pawb a’i Farn is a current affairs debate programme that journeys to different parts of Wales, inviting local audiences to pitch a series of questions to a panel of politicians, experts and members of the public. Panelists are purposely selected to reflect a range of political views, and each will get the chance to voice their opinion on some of the most recent controversial issues.
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the participation of contributors in the S4C / Tinopolis TV programme, Pawb A’I Farn ("the Programme"), produced by Tinopolis Cymru ("the Producer") in association with S4C (“the Commissioning Broadcaster”). By agreeing to participate, contributors confirm their acceptance of these terms.
2. Contributors Responsibilities
Contributors must participate in a respectful, constructive, and informed manner, adhering to broadcasting standards and legal guidelines.
Contributors must not engage in hate speech, defamation, or any other form of unlawful or inappropriate conduct.
Contributions should be factually accurate, and Contributors should avoid knowingly spreading misinformation.
Any conflicts of interest relevant to the discussion must be disclosed to the Producer before the Programme.
3. Recording and Broadcasting
By participating in the Programme, Contributors consent to the recording, live broadcast, and subsequent rebroadcast of their contributions.
Contributors will be asked to sign Contributors Agreements to participate in the Programme. Should there be any differences between these Terms & Conditions and any those set out in the Contributors Agreement, then the Contributor’s Agreement will prevail.
The Producer retains full editorial control over the content, including the right to edit, modify, or withhold any segment from broadcast.
Contributors grant the Producer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use their name, likeness, voice, and contributions in connection with the Show. More details will be set out in the Programme Contributor’s Agreement.
4. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
Contributors must not disclose any confidential information shared by the Producer, including but not limited to production details, guest line-ups, and unpublished content.
Any breach of confidentiality may result in exclusion from future participation and potential legal action.
5. Compliance with Broadcasting and Legal Standards
Contributors must comply with the Broadcasting Code of Ofcom (this can be supplied on request by emailing the Tinopolis Producer) and any other relevant regulatory requirements.
Contributors must not make statements that could result in legal liability for the Producer, such as libelous or slanderous remarks.
6. Conduct and Etiquette
Contributors are expected to conduct themselves professionally, both on and off air.
Disruptive behaviour, including personal attacks, shouting over other contributors, or refusal to adhere to the moderator’s instructions, may result in removal from the Programme.
7. Cancellations and Changes
The Producer reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or change the format of the Programme at any time without liability.
If a Contributors needs to cancel their participation, they must notify the Producer at the earliest possible opportunity.
8. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Wales and England, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Wales and England.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Programme, Contributors confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
