Terms and Conditions for Work Experience with Tinopolis Cymru

1. Eligibility
1.1 The applicant must be aged 16 years or older at the time of application.
1.2 The applicant if in current full time or part-time education must have permission from their educational institution to participate in the work experience program.
1.3 The applicant must demonstrate an interest in the television industry and be able to demonstrate that they wish to enter the TV and Media industry as a profession.

 

2. Application Process
2.1 Applications must be submitted through this designated online portal and no other forms of applications will be accepted.
2.2 Applicants must complete the on-line application form in full and we may at our discretion request further information from the candidate before fully considering the application. If requested such further information may include, but need not be limited to, a personal statement, and, or a reference from a teacher or mentor.

2.3 Once an application is received it will be considered and if accepted, we will contact the candidate to confirm the work experience dates. No candidate should make any travel or accommodation plans relating to their work experience application until they have received confirmation from us that their application has been accepted and confirmed.

2.4 Tinopolis cannot be held responsible nor liable for any costs incurred by any applicant for work experience that is not approved or cancelled.
2.5 Selection is at the sole discretion of the company.

 

3. Duration and Schedule
3.1 The work experience placement will last for a period of three days, which will normally be a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
3.2 Participants must adhere to the agreed working hours and schedule unless prior approval is given for changes.

3.3 Participants will be offered a wide range of experiences typical of job roles in the TV industry.

3.4 It is the Applicants responsibility to arrange transport to and from the company studio’s during their work experience placement.
3.3 Any absence must be reported to the supervisor as soon as possible.

 

4. Conduct and Responsibilities
4.1 Participants must conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect company policies, staff, and fellow participants.
4.2 Participants must follow all health and safety regulations provided by the company.
4.3 Confidentiality must be maintained regarding any sensitive information learned during the placement.
4.4 Participants must not engage in any activities that may bring the company into disrepute.

 

5. Supervision and Support
5.1 Each participant will be assigned a mentor or supervisor who will oversee their experience.
5.2 Regular feedback and guidance will be provided throughout the placement.
5.3 Any issues or concerns should be raised with the assigned supervisor or the HR department.

 

6. Compensation and Expenses
6.1 The work experience placement is unpaid unless otherwise specified.
6.2 The company is not responsible for covering travel, accommodation, or meal expenses unless stated otherwise.

 

7. Termination of Placement
7.1 The company reserves the right to terminate the placement at any time if the participant breaches these terms and conditions.
7.2 The participant may also choose to terminate their placement early but must provide reasonable notice and a valid reason.

 

8. Liability
8.1 The company is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the placement unless caused by company negligence.
8.2 Participants are encouraged to have their own insurance if required.

 

9. Data Protection
9.1 Personal data provided by the applicant will be used solely for the purpose of processing their application and administering the placement.
9.2 Data will be handled in accordance with relevant UK data protection laws.

 

10. Governing Law
10.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
